restaurant

The Rappahannock County Sheriffs Office is investigating several leads this week in connection with a break-in at a popular Sperryville fast-food restaurant.
Thieves broke in to Burgers N Things, a family-owned takeout spot at 12000 Lee Highway at the U.S. 522 turnoff at 2:30 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 11, according to Lt. J.C. Welch.
“Hopefully it’ll lead to an arrest soon,” said Welch of the investigation into the burglary, in which an undisclosed amount of cash was taken from the restaurant’s cash register, which had to be replaced, along with several windows and a door.
Burgers N Things owner Steve Butler said the burglars broke one of the two glass-and-steel entrance doors to get into the front orderand-pickup area, where they damaged an ATM while trying unsuccessfully to get to its cash drawer,
