Special holiday
show begins Dec. 4
The Middle Street Gallery, a 20-person artists’ cooperative based in Rappahannock County, will hold a special holiday group show from Dec. 4 - 27 at the gallery in Washington.
Called “A Celebration of Light,” it features works of art selected by each member for its special treatment of light.
The public also is invited to a free decoration-making workshop from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12. Learn from a gallery member how to make a beautiful Polish star, perfect for Christmas tree ornaments. Another member will show how to make “sparkly” ornaments out of recycled materials.
Reflecting the diversity of gallery remembers, works of art will include oil paintings, watercolors, mixed media collages, photographs and sculpture.
