Each year Hospice of the Rapidan provides members of the community the opportunity to honor or remember someone they love with a light on its Tree of Lights.
Tlie 2009 Tree of Lights will be lit in a ceremony Monday, Nov. 30 at 6:30 p.m. at Rappahannock National Bank, 7 Bank Road, Washington.
The event is free and all members of the community are welcome. Appetizers and holiday cheer donated by Hospice of the Rapidan’s volunteers and local restaurants will be served.
Flint Hill resident, Joan Getsinger, a member of Hospice’s board of directors, will host the event.
David Semmes, husband of Dudley Semmes, former Hospice of the Rapidan patient, will light this year’s tree in a ceremony that will include musical selections performed by the David’s Heart Praise Team from the Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church
