James, of Dendron. took placbe, Sunday, Dec. jl. at 3 p. m. in Lonewood House, Farmville. The Rev. Benjamin R. Bruner, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiated. The double-ring ceremony took place in candlelight against an altar of magnolia leaves. Given in marriage by her fath er. the bride wore a ballerina gown |of white nylon net over satin. Her shoulder length veil of illusion fell from a tier of seed pearls. She carried a white Bible showered with gardenias. Mrs. Douelas H. Layman, sister of the bridf*. of Alexandria, was matron of honor. She wore a bal lerina dress of green nylon net and carried a nosegay of red car nations. ' Albert S. James served as his son s best man. Groomsmen w re Marshall Seward, of Suin', and John Harris Lane. III. ol Dendron Douglas H. Layman. Jr., of Alex andria, nephew of the bride, was ling bearer.
