Andersonville The Christmas holidays in this community were marked by the usual homecomings, family din ner parties, frolicking among the younger set. and exchange of neighborly visits. Mrs. C. B. Morgan had all of her children and grandchildren with her at one time or another during the holidays. Miss Billie from Alexandria. Miss Rita from Fairfax, and Miss Louise and Dick. The Garrett family spent Friday there and the Cowans ar rived Monday. For the first Christmas, since farther back than anyone in the community seems able to remem ber, the Flood home, usually the scene of so much activity and gaiety, had its front door locked and bolted while Mrs. Flood and Fred spent the day in Richmond with the Poats and DuVal fami lies. The two Christian boys were at home for the holidays. Ernest. Jr., who is stationed in Norfolk, and a friend from Texas, spent the week end with Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Christian. Robert, who is stationed at Pensacola, will be with his family until January 4 Miss Louise Christian also was with her home folks last week. Holiday Visitors Mr. and Mrs. Richard McCraw and young son. Larry, and Miss Louise McCraw were guests of Mr. and Mrs. E. C. McCraw early in the holidays. Mr. and Mrs. Leeth. their sons and small daughter came for the week end Callers on Christmas day were Mrs. Bernard Payne. Mrs. Dick Payne. Mrs. Moling and Mrs. White. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Morgan. Nancy and Charles and Mrs. Cole visited relatives in Roanoke Sun day. James Forbes and a friend, Colonel Snearer. of Jetersville. were dinner guests in the home of
