Double Check Just slipping along with a Happy New Year that is predicted to be the best ever. At least, the last one was full of disappoint ment* for a lot of us fellers but we stuck to it just the same. They are doing our laundry in the front yard these days. The wash don't look none too good but were furnishing the clothsline— just a tigering that if we give 'efri enough rope they will hang themselves. This will be the year the seven teen year locust rAurn—course some of 'em got back ahead of time. There will be a big change in everything. The Northern lights will be visible in January— that is if you be alooking. There will also be a lot of visitors of great prominence coming over to the U. S. A.—not wanting anyt thing but just curious to know whats cooking. It ain't hot dawgs this time. This Nation is aiming to get on the receiving end for once. If it succeeds we can have a depresT sion next year and put out some more money and jobs again. Cumberland County may even have Telephone service this year. The Willis River Hunt Club in creased its holdings and the out look over the year for work and sport appears worth looking for ward to. Making it a better year is our job. Thanks for reading. J.
