Farmville Aero Club Organized Recently To Stimulate Flying The Farmville Acre Club lias been organized here with 21 members for the purpose of stimulating interest in flying. Headquarters is at the Farmville Municipal Airport. The club is now converting two rooms of the airport building into a meeting place ano lounge for members The organization is also staging a drive foi additional members, w ho seek to achieve or maintain flying proficiency at lowered costs. Officers of the new club arc: Sammy Ransom of Buckingham, president: John1 Routt, of Farm ville. operation officer and vice president: Jack Hartley, of Buck ingham. treasurer, and Ronald Bowles, of Farmville. secretary. Membership requirements in clude a small initiation fee. small monthly dues, and flying privi leges for those qualified at re duced rates. Mr. Routt, the operation offi cer. also operates the municipal airport at present. The club will have its next meeting tonight (Thursday', at the airport quarters.
