Adams Nets 26 Points But Tigers Lose To Roanoke 77-68 Jerry Adams bombarded Roa noke College hoops with a 26 point barage Monday night at 8alem. but it wasn't enough to prevent the Maroon squad from taking a 77-68 verdict in the M-D Conference basketball game. The victory was the seventh straight for Roanoke and kept them atop the Conference with a perfect 7-0 record. The Maroons capitalized on their height ad vantage and countered Adams' work with a 25-pomt game from the talented hands and eye of Freshman Dwayne Helneck. Benny Vincent returned to the Tiger squad after a period of in eligibility to spell JFYank Hoffman at the center post. Roanoke started fast and rolled to a 12-5 lead early in the con test. By the end of the first quarter, the Maroons had extend ed their advantage to 16-12.
