(iiiinea H. D. Club Studies Techniques Of ‘Meal Planning’ On Wednesday afteinon. Jan. 118. the H. D Club of Guinea held the first meeting of the year in the home of Mrs. Geoigia W. Wilkcrson. the home agent. The meeting was opened by the presi dent, Mrs. Charles Womack. Mrs. W. D. Walker had the devotional. The demonstration on Meal Planning" was given oy Mrs. Wil kerson. who also gave a talk on "The Basic Seven Food Groups' . The hostess gave the members blanks to be filled lor planning their meals by "The Basic Seven' . Members present were Miss Pauline Atkins: Mcsdames R. B. Addleman. R. E. Garnett. John Holman. Martha Jenkins, Thomas Scott, John Stratton, W. D. Walk er and Charles Womack, Jr. Visitors were Mrs. Louis Agee, Mrs. Guy Allen. Mrs. Jack Allen and Olivia Jenkins. Refreshments were served by the hostess. The group is e.xi>ected to meet in February with Mrs. Conduff Mathews, at "Hors du Monde ". The demonstration will be "One Dish Meals" by Mrs. R. B Addle man and Mrs. Conduff Mathews. Landscaping and (he Pruning of Shrubs will be discussed at this meeting, also. Cumberland Visitors m tiie home ol Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Pembelton Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. R. N. Lewis and Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Talley, of Rich mond Relatives and friends are happy to know that Miss Mary Jane Smith h.xa returned home after an illness. The community welcomes Mr. and Mrs. R. K Pembelton, who have moved here from Melierrin. Oak Foresl Mr. and Mrs. C. A Stonncll and Carolyn. Nellie Mae and Janet spent the week end with Mi and Mrs. Sidney Sheldon, of Wil liamsburg. They also visited Mrs L. H. Robeiis and family at Lanexa. 1
