Watson C ar Stolen Tutv day Night Here On First Avenue An automobile belonging to W. A Watson Jr . was stolen some time after 10 p. m.. Tuesday night. It was locked and parked in front of the Watson residence » First avenue. Mr. Watson dis covered the lass when starting for work Wednesday morning. The ear was a black 1949 four door Ford sedan bearing license plate Nutni-r 541771. No evidence of its present whereabouts had been uncovered. The police were notified immediately How the locked car was started remains a mystery. Mr. Watson is sure cf one thing. The only key to it is still m his possession. Soldier from Pickett Killed Near Keysvilie One soldier was killed and an other was injured critically Tues day when their automobile left State Route 40 about nine miles earl of Ke.vsville. overturned and then struck a tree. Pvt. Lander O Elliot, of Gladys, was killed when he was thrown from the vehicle. Pvt. Ear! L. Nolan, whose home address was not immediately available, was pinned in the wreckage when, the tree toppled over on the vehicle.
