Daniel. Jr., of Keysville. has been named chairman of Charlotte County’s 1953 America ! Red Cross Fund-Raising Cam- j paign. according to David C. Wat-! kins. Charlotte County Chapter! Chairman. Previously employed as j ' sales manager of Walker-Ward ■ Motors, Inc., Mr. Daniel is now district manager of State Farm Insurance Companies. Better known as Chick to his many Charlotte county friends, he is the son of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Daniel, of Charlotte Court House. Soon after his graduation from Randolph - Henry High School, he joined the army and served ,overseas for almost three years with the Third Infantry Di vision. After his discharge. Chick was a page in the House of Dele gates for the 1946 General Assem bly of Virginia, and later enter ed the Virginia Episcopal School. Lynchburg, where he completed a post-graduate course. From there, he went to Washington and Lee University, returning to Char lotte county in June, 1949, to make his home. Mr. Daniel is a member of the Charlotte County Ruritan Club. Keysville American Legion Post No. 260. board of directors of Walker-Ward Motors. lire., and Keysville Civic Club. He is a dea con of the Keysville Presbyterian Church. Chick's wife. Ruth, is the former Miss Ruth Pleasants Rowe, of Charlotte Court House. They have two sons. Bill and Jack. In accepting his appointment. Mr. Daniel said. "I consider it a privilege to serve the American Red Cross in this capacity and I look forward to the completion of a very successful campaign. Al though the intensive drive for funds will not begin until March, plans for the organization of the campaign are already well under way."
