Mrs. Billie Dunlap Powell, of Portsmouth, who graduated from Longwood College this month as the first student to receive a B S. Degree in Music Education un der the new curriculum. Although both B. S. and B A. degrees is music education were offered by the college four years ago. Mrs. Powell is the first stu dent who has had sufficient cred its to fullfill all the requirements for the degree.
