Cumberland Tobacco Growers Invited To ‘Problem’ Sessions A great deal of research has been conducted this past year on both flue-cured and dark fired tobacco. This information should be of great importance to every tobacco grower in Cumberland County. A program has been arranged by E. L. Seay. Jr., Cumberland county agent, to have VPI spe cialists discuss tobacco problems at Cumberland Court House on Wednesday. Feb. 11. G. R. Mathews, Associate Ex tension Agronomist from VPI. will discuss varieties, fertilizers, and general management prob lems. S. B. Fenne. Extension Plant Pathologist from VPI, will discuss diseases and insects and the means of controlling and pre venting them. At 1:30 p. m.. tlie discussion will be on flue-cured tobacco, and at 7:30 p. m., the discussion will be on dark fired tobacco. "All tobacco growers please try and attend these meetings, and bring your friends and neigh bors." County Agent Seay says.
