If 1 could gather all the shining gems Of sparkling dewdrbps in the morning glow. Or preserve the lovelv, crystal fairy shades That lie hidden in a falling flake of snow. If 1 could paint the beauty of a dawn. The gorgeousness of sunset in the sky; Retain sweet music of a rippling stream. And could store soft light from the moon on high. I would mix all these with sweet golden dreams. The love in my heart. I’d mix with them too. And combining them all. a poem 1 would write. Then J would send it. my darling, to you. Lovingly yours, L.
