Amelia Wins 8-7 In Extra Innings Amelia Orioles picked up their first a in of the season Tuesday afternoon with a ten inning 8-7 victory over Blackstone. It was a sew-saw battle that saw Amelia get a quick stare. The Orioles picked up two runs in the second inning, and pitcher James Warren hit a home run in the third inning with no one on base. Blackstone got two runs in the fifth and five runs in the first half of the sixth to lake what looked like a sure lead. Amelia came back in their half of the sixth inning to score two runs and then added two mere to tie the game up in the seventh inning. Jim Munden scored the winning run in the tenth inning as be came home on a single by Ash ton Edwards. Warren started on the mound for Amelia, but was relieved in the sixth by Wade, who was relieved by Clarence Hall in the seventh inning. Hall received credit for the win. Last Thursday Amelia dropped their second game of the season as Crewe took a low scoring 3 to ! game.
