Annie Allen Diggs 73. who died Monday in Staunton alter a prolonged liincvj. Dr Ben R. Lacy. Jr., and the Rev. Frank Beil officiated. Burial was in Lanes Chapel cemetery. A native of Prince Edward County, born Oct. 13. 1883. the daughter of John Richard and Martha Hester Allen, she attend ed Kleinberg Female College at Schuyler. She is survived by her husband, Walter Compton Diggs: j one daughter. Mrs. Gerry M. Gen try, of Farmville; two sisters, Mrs. T A. Calhoun, of Darlington Height,-, and Miss Mary G. Allen, of Farmville, and two brothers. J. H. and Bert Wmker Allen, both of Farmville.
