William J. Beasley, 71, Rites To Be Friday William Jackson Beasley, 71 ■ died a: his home in Farmvilie Wedns day evening April 24. after a short illness. Funeral services v.ili be held at the Farmvilie Bap tist Church Friday at 3 pan., with interment in the Westview Ceme tery. Tile son of William and Mildred Whitworth Beasley, he was born in Charlotte County April 20. 1886. He moved to Farmvilie about 35 years ago and served on the Farmvilie police force for 25 years, retiring about 10 years ago. Since that time he has followed the car penter'': trade. He was a member of the Farmvilie Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Marguerite Wood Beasley: two children. W. J. Beasley, Jr., and Georgia Ann Beasley, students at Oak Hill Academy in Grayson County. Al;o a brother. T. C. 3 'adry. of Amelia; four sisters. Mrs. Sue Ferrell, of Lynchburg; Mrs Charles Crews, of Narunu, Mrs Carrie Nash, of Charlotte: Mrs. Emma Stigall. of Midlothian, and a step-daughter, Mrs. Reba Ros- of Havre de Grace. Md Throck Mr. and Mrs, Heenan Lancaster, of Richmond, spent the week end with his mother. Mrs. A. H. Lun ar Moc ets TAO caster. Mi and Mrs. J. C. Townsend, and son. of Cumberland, visited her par ents, Mi and Mrs. Alec Foster. .Sun day, Miss Bessie Mae Foster spent the week end in Richmond visiting rela tives and friends.
