Joseph v. uirx«r, an ex* ecutive of the Surgeon General’s office in Washington, was the first to purchase a vacation home ia Jenkins Hollow. Since spring he and Mrs. Carter have been spending frequent week-ends at the place purchased from Clarence Jenkins. They have remodeled their log cabin into a guest house and made some changes in the main dwelling. Other improvements are contemplated.
Miss Margaret Holmes, connected with the Department of National Defense has purchased ten. acres at the top of the hill back of the home' of Roy Jenkins and is planning to have a log ' cabin built for vacation use.

Mission Studies Held
A series of lessons on “Japan Lives Again” has been given by the mission study class of the Woman’s Society of Christian Service throughout the county. *
A lesson was given by Mrs. Barbara Gentry of Flint Hill, in the home, of Mrs. George W. Brown at (Sperryville on Wednesday night. There were‘‘ID members of the different societies present. Another section had been held at Washington on Monday nigfet.
