Mr. and Mrs. G. B. Johnson of Woodville received Word this week from their son, Jimmy, that he had been accepted at the University of Virginia Medical College, Charlottesville.
James Henry Jchnson (that’s Jimmy) is a graduate of ^sperryville High School and will receive his bachelor of science degree at University of Richmond in the ’spring class. During three years at Richmond he has been on^the^ dean's list every semester.. Jimmy is only 20 years of age and acceptance into University of Virginia Medical School'is considered a great honor as only, a few are selected from many applicants.
'Film Show* .at S.H.S.
Tomorrow Afternoon
Edward F.' Cross, nationally known traveller and photographer, will ^exhibit his latest film, “Carry Me Back to Ole Virginny," in Sperryville High School auditorium tomorrow afternoon, Friday, December 9, at 2 o’clock.
This film was completed less Ahan a month ago and it opens and closes with scenes from Rappahannock’s own Red Oak mountain. Seeing this film is an opportunity for people in the county. Admission is only 25c for adults and 15c for children.

Miss Katie Anderson and Mrs. James M. Settle will be joint hostesses at the meeting of Rappahannock Garden club Thursday, December 15, at 2 y.m. at Mrs. Settle's home in Flint Hill.
Mrs. John L. Wirtz will be the program chairman and the topic for the month will be “Party and Christmas Decorations.”
