a meeting ot the Fodder Stack H.D. club was held with Mr.s. John Eubank on November 29. The feature of the meeting was making Martha Washington candy. The agent showed how attractive boxes of this candy could be fixed for Christmas presents.

Reager elub reported success at candy selling; Sperry villa Jrk 4-H decided to sponsor a dance in January; and Amissville plans a Bingo party some time in the spring. ^
Reager club made toys and studied the problem of washing synthetic fabrics. Washington Jr. club made t&y* and learned the . ' triaging at table cloths and napkins. Sperryville Jr. 4-H learned to wash a sweater correctly and how to make table mats and napkins. Daisy Wines, of the Reager school, gave an excellent account of the last meeting. Carlyle Lea of the Washington Jr. 4-H and Shirley Poe^of the Amissville club had very good minutes. All the clubs had good attendance and are making fine progress on work.
Corn Demonstration!

• A total of 409 . corn- hybrid demonstrations were conducted in 77 Virginia counties this season, says W. W. Lewis, .associate agronomist at V1PI.
The demonstrations, identified by large 3igns on the co-operating' farms, are designed to let farmers know the characteristics of adapted corn hybrids in the field. Fertilization practices also are shown.
Co-operating, seed dealers donated 134 bushels of corn hybrid seed—valued at about |$9 per bushel—to make the program possible this year.
Three of these demonstrations were conducted by Rappahannock farmers, who were Dick Latham, Ivor Jacobs and Grimsley 'Bros."
