School Party

Our High School party Friday night, December 2, was a big success, With 52 students attending.

Under the guidance of Miss Owen, we all joined in exciting games — including the picture game with every body yelling which'one is Mh Link? This is Mrs. Miller, Oh 5 no it isn't. '

After games we danced to music played on the phonograph and faithful calling of Mr. Link ‘•All join hands ,5n circle.”

Between dances Mrs. Owen and Mary Kay served delicious refreshments which everybody enjoyed. .

We who were there realized that it was a grand entertainment and a most helpful way in which to spend our leisure time.

The faculty and student government have worked hard over their parties for you and me, so next time let’s all come and make it the best praty ever—after all "we make the parties”.

A backwoods mountaineer one day found a mirror which a tquris had lost.

‘‘Well, if it ain’t my old dad,” he said as he looked into the mirror. “I never knew he had his picture took.”

He took the mirror home and stole into the attic to hide it, but his actions didn’t quite escape his ''suspicious wife. That night while he slept she slipped up to the attic and found the mirror. %‘A-ha,” she said, looking into it. ‘‘So that’s the hag he’s been chasing around with.” *

People say the sun is so invigorating in California that the caretakers in the graveyards go around saying’, "Lie down,. Lie down.”

‘‘Robert,” said the teacher, to drive home a lesson on charity and kindness, “if I saw a man beating a donkey and stopped him from doing so, what virtue would I be showing?"
