On Monday, 25 FFA boys and FHA girls left, along with their advisor Genje Wagner, ifor a week’s camping trip at the State FFA Camp near Smithffeld. They traveled by school bus and will return Saturday.
Two Stations Robbed
Mac’s Place at Washington and Buck Brown’s Highway Garage, about two miles from Washington - on the Sperryville road, were entered late Saturday night — or early Sunday morning—and robbed.
Missing items at Mac’s Place, where a broken window indicated means of thieves’ entrance, were: two radios, several cases of beer, aome wine, and about $3 in cash.
This is the third time in the last 18 months that Mac’s Place has been entered and robbed, said E. M. Richards, owner.
R. W. Brown estimated that about $25 in cash and from eight to ten cartons of. cigarettes were gone from his garage.
Sheriff J. W. Critzer believes that several persons must be working together and an auto must figure in the robberies because of the quantity of loot. '
State Trooper W. A. Buntin has sent the broken windowpane from Mac’s Place to Richmond for detecting fingerprints. No other clue_ has been found as to the identity of the thieves.
