Shenandoah National Park reports that 27,952 -visitors, in 7,123 ' Vehicles,* entered the Park Sunday, • October 15. This is the largest ' number of people to enter 'the Park in one day since 1941.

People in Rappahannock who live along the road and saw the streams of traffic Sunday will be glad to testify that the number is correct—only most folks think there were more! The cars poured along the Lee Highway in a continuous stream all day long. At one time in the early afternoon, when the traffic had been steadily getting heavier, a man on the corner at Washington took a count. The cars were making the turn «t the signal light at a rate of 26 per minute.
