His Home In County
Lt. Cmdr. and Mrs. Paul Dodson are spending ten days in Flint Hill at the home of the commander’s father, Fred William’ Dodson,
Commander Dodson has-been in Savafmah, GaL, at his new cposti since the. first of August, at r which time he was transferred from commanding officer of the destroyer escort UJ.S.S. McClelland and promoted from the rank of lieutenant to lieutenant commander.
The Savannah area included a total of well over 300 officers and men in the Organized Naval Reserve as well as numerous volunteer reserves. Headquarters for the Savannah area are in the Savannah ' Naval,: Training Center, one of the most modernly equipped arfories in the South.
On the McClelland Commander Dodson was based at Jacksonville, Fla., and Savannah and made training cruises in and out of Charleston, S.C., during the summer months.

The S. C. A. has given two programs so far, one on ‘‘Safety” by the seventh grade and one on “Fire Prevention" by the sixth grade.
Prizes were awarded for the best posters on “Fire Prevention.”'

Visit Washington, D. C.
The Boy Scout troop of Flint Hill, accompanied by Captain William Wiener and Bill Miller enjoyed a sightseeing trip to Washington, D.C., Wednesday. They went td ^ithe National lAirpc*fc>where
