Three Home Demonstration elhbs had their meetings last week. The Amissville H.D. club met with Mrs. Les Walters, October 11, at 2 p.m. A talk was given by the agent on United Nations Day. Accomplishment sheets were filled out by the . women;, on .things' they — had done along the household line during the year. Then the agent gave a demonstration on “Ideas for Making Your Own Christmas Gifts.” The following leaders were chosen for the coming year: program development leaders, Sarah Latham; home furnishings leaders, Mrs. Ruby Green and Mrs. Sarah Jenkins; food leaders, Mrs. Les Walter and Mrs. Will Walter; garden leaders, Mrs. Charles Green, Mrs. A. C. Latham; hat leaders, Mrs Joe Hitt, Mrs. Les Walter, and Mrs. Katherine Riley; youth and community recreation chairmen, Mrs. Katherine Riley Khd Mrs. Graham Hackley.
A meeting was held by the P. T. Valley H. D. club on October 12 at the home of Mrs. C. R. Hite. Mrs. John Revercomb, president, appointed the following leaders for the club: program development leader, Mrs. C. R. Hite; house furnishings leaders, Mrs. Harry Gallihugh and Mrs. Helen Bruce; food leaders, Mrs. Frank Brown and Mrs. Lester Yates; garden leader,' Mrs. Gilbertt Weakley; youth and community recreation chairman, Miss Dollie Hite; hat leaders, Mrs. J. G. Revercomb and Mrs. Earl Wayland. A demonstration onweek-end time-savers was given by the agent. The hostess served a. very tasty dessert which completed the meal that was served.
Woodville Home Demonstration club met with Mrs. R. M. Johnson, October 13, at 2 p.m. The agent talked on United Nations Day to be celebrated October 24. A demonstration on “Ideas for Making Your Own Christmas Gifts," was given by the agent. Due to the fact that so many of the officers of the club were absent, election of the new officers was postponed until next meeting.
SperyrVille No. 1 4-H club and Belle Meade 4-H club met last week. The Sperryville 4-H girls chose housekeeping for their winter project and Clothing Unit II for their summer project.

United Nations Day is October 24. The Home Demonstration clubs of the county are presenting to Rappahannock High School a United Nations Flag on this day. Mrs. Jessie Rowxie, Mrs. Joe Hitt, Mrs. Gilbert Updike, and Miss Nellie Johnson made the flag. It is to be presented at 9:20 a.m., the morning of October 24. Anyone wishing to attend this short presentation Is cordially invited to come. All counties in the United States are participating in this reprogram.
