The Sue Slaughter Women’s Missionary Group will hold their Pall Rally with the Flint Hill Baptist church October 26, starting at 10:30. Miss Rees Watkins will be the guest speaker.

Chicken In The Jar

With autumn culling of poultry Rocks underway on many farms, there’s good news of a short-cut for canning this abundant supply cf chicken—a quick new-pack method developed by the Beureau of Human Nutrition and Home Economics, U. S. Department of Agriculture.

Not only does this raw pack save time and work but it produces chicken as tasty or better than chicken canned by longer methods. The meat is packed raw without even adding water in this newest method. The step of exhausting, heating packed jars before sealing to expel air, also is eliminated.
