Two Holstein bulls, 12 and 13 months old, arc now at Mout Vernon Stock Farm, Sperryville, having been leased for two years by General Mills, Inc. Research Farm, near Detroit, to the Rappahannock county dairy farm.
The occasion and circumstances are flattering to Mount Vernon Stock Farm, tp J. Gifford Miller, Jr., and to G. M. Black, manager. General Mills, Inc., Research Farm had these two fine animals and, needless to say, they were going to be careful and mighty particular where the animals were placed. These two animals are not for sale, and it is understood that Michigan State University wanted them- There are no other bulls from General Mills, Inc. Research Farm in the state of Virginia, other than the* two now at Moun: Vernon Stock Farm.
G- M. Black went to Detroit and brought the animals bade.
One of the bulls, Laro Apex Royal Ormsby, is a son of a famous dam who made two national records in the first two lactations, and is the only Holstein to ever make two national records. At first lactation, aged 2 years, from twice milking,
