Mrs. Raymond Slaughter of Front Royal, but formerly of “The Oaks” in Rappahannock, returned to her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Simpson of Front Royal last week. Mrs. Slaughter has been in Florida for sometime for her health. She reports that she is improving in every way, much stronger and feels better.
Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Lea, Miss Mary Massie Lea and Carlyle Lea, spent the Easter holiday in Lynchburg, Amherst and “Massie’s Mill” with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Lea returned home on Monday and Miss Lea left for Hollins College, where she is a student. . Miss Shirley and Johnnie Weaver left Thursday for a visit with their aunt and uncle-in-laiw, Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Payne in Washington, D. C. On Saturday Mr. and Mrs. Payne returned with tne Weavers for a week-end visit in their hoe.
