There's a general belief that spelling hi a talent—like drawing—either you can or you can’t But I once heard an artist say that anyone who can be taught to write can also be taught to draw; whether they become an artist depends upon the desire. Maybe spelling is like that; anyone who can learn to read can learn to epell, the degree of efficiency upon the desire.

Merchants tell me—after quizzing —that the reason the New York | Times put out a whole section on men’s fashions is because men aren't dressing up as much as they used to. Some merchants say that the sale of white shirts has fallen off considerably since men have started wearing so many more of the sport shirts with open collars.
This came as somewhat of a sut* prise. Perhaps we aren’t as. conscious of dress as we should be, but the men-folks always seemed to be dressed up pretty nicely if the occasion demanded it.
There comes to mind a story of a few years back. An 8-year-old friend of mine moved to New York City.' When the day came to begin school, he dressed himself up in his loudest plaid cowboy shirt and his blue jeans’
