Mrs. Clara Woodard, Mrs. Gilbert Updike, Mrs Jessie Rowzie,. W. H. Lyne, and the home agent attended a recreation training meeting Friday in Front Royal. Miss Catherine Allen, specialist in recreation at University of Tennessee, gave a very excellent and varied program. The program included mixers, quiet games, folk dances, and square dances. Recreation develops and leads to well balanced leisure time life. Families can do much in their own homes in providing recreation. Parents can play with children, as hikes, games, etc-: plan family events and celebrations and provide more opportunities for young people. Below are some suggested games which could be played in your home with no equipment.

1. “Musical Hunt.” One person goes out of the room while a small object IS "Wing hidden. He returns and searches for it. The group sings softly when the hunter is far away from the hiding place and as he nears it, they gradually increase the volume. The singing is very loud as he gets nearer and nearer, and a yell or two adds zest.

2. “I say stoop” Played just like “Simon Savs” only the leader says

FIRE AUXILIARY NETS $45 AT DOLPH SALE SATURDAY

$45 was realized by the Ladies Auxiliary to Rappahannock Fire Company at the sale at Dolmont on Saturday. The ladies sold sandwiches and soft drinks. Miss Ruth Stevens, a member of the auxiliary, served as clerk ofv the sale.
