BIRTHDAY PARTY
Mrs. Harry L. Smith entertained on Saturday afternoon at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Geotge W. Brown,in honor of her daughter, Elizabeth Harrison Smith, who celebrated her twelfth birthday anniversary. .
After a round of games and an Easter egg hunt, with Miss Betty Johnson as prize winner, refreshments were served and each guest was given a favor..

The Womans Society of Christ, ain Service of the M. E. Church v met on Thursday in the home of Mrs. George W. Brown. Mrs. Nina Brown called the meeting to worship by reading Romans 12:15. During the business session dues were collected and a collection for local work. A corr'mitjtee reported on iwork done at the church. A new fence had been built at the back of the lot, front fence painted and yard cleaned, which improved the appearence very much. Ralph iStrawn led the lesson discussion from the subject, “Brotherhood In the World of Work.” There were eight members present.

It is with regret that the name of Joseph Johnson was omitted from the list of names of the men who donated free help on the Assembly of God parsonage . Mr. Johnson gave the use of his truck for hauling.
