Water Safety and swimming in- ^ structions wifi be given Rappahannock by Howard Camp from July 14 through the 25 according to Mrs. Kathleen Lawerence, local Red Cross Chairman.

Mr. Camp, a professional swimmer is one of the American Red Cross Eastern Area instructors and is especially qualified to teach young people. Mrs. Lawerence states that over 250 written applications have been—received from all Wer the county, and numerous phone calls, -from both children and parents dis-— closes a great deal of interest and enthusiasm. •

According to estimates, some 6.500 Americans will drown in 1952. "It is within our power to reduce this shocking figure and to make significant contributions to the safety and welfare of the citizens in^Rappahannock county,” says Mrs. Lawerence.
