His Stand On Farm

As Senator Russell has been iiy jected into the Senatorial campaign in Virginia by Messrs. Miller and Whitehead, he bsa issued a stattment so as to make it clear that he and Senator Byrd voted alike on the basic farm legislation for soil conservation and the establishment ofthe farm program, which includes tobacco, cotton and peanuts.

The statement by Senator Richard B. Russell, issued from his office in Washington, follows:_’

“It has come to my attention that my name has been injected into the Democratic Senatorial contest in Vjrginia in connection^ with Senator Byrd’s record on farm legislation.
