:At Substations
Research underway at VPI Agricultural Experiment Station* and at - outlying field units, will be viewed by farmers, professional workers and others at the annual series of field days this summer.
W. W. Lewis, agronomist at VPI, said tours are planned to experimental plots where forage and field crop tests are being conducted. The tests deal with varieties, fertilization, rotations, weed control, and other phases of crop production.
The field-day schedule: Chatham, July 25: Holland, August 14; Char- -, lotte, August 15; Orange, August 19;. Staunton, August 20; Warsaw, August 21; and VPI, September 12, all between the hours of 1:30 and 4:30 p.m. ,
Another feature of the field days will be plant identification sessions with Professor A- B. Massey at-VPL -
