Wirtz Receives Promotion

News has been received here that J. L. Wirtz has been promoted from assistant —cashier^ of the Gresham branch of First National' Bank of Portland (Oregon)^ to manager of the bank. A newspaper clippng from that city states: “The new manager has been associated with the Gresham branch since July, 19$1, and since shortly after that date has been its assistant manager. Mr. Wirtz has had experience m the bankng business in the east and came to First National Bank of Portland as a loan officer in its head officer in 1950. Singe coming to Gresham lie has lieen active in many civic affairs. He is married and has three children.”

Mr. Wirtz was in the banking business in Rappahannock county prior to moving west. He sold his home, “Echo Hill,” the former Almond place on the road between Washington and Massie’s Corner, in the summer of 1950.
