Senator Guest Declares
For Eisenhower
State Senator Raymond R. Guest has declared his support for Eisenhower for President.
In a statement Senator Guest says, “I assure you this decision was only reached after a great deal of thought. I hope I have done the right thing."
The full statement reads thus:
“Because it is my sincere conviction that Trumanism has brought our country to the brink of moral and financial bankruptcy, and because I want to help save the TRUE democratic party, I am in favour of a change of administration this year, 1952."
“Accordingly, I intend to join the Virginia Democrats for Eisenhower Organization and do anything in my power to help elect Dwight D. Eisenhower in his great struggle to save our country."
