Flint Hill P.-Tl.
'Mrs. Paul Miller was named president at the first meeting of Flint Hill P-T A, held Tuesday, September 9, at the school. Vicepresident is Mrs. Nelson Atkins, with Mrs. W. A. Moore as treasurer, and Mrs. Glenn Williams as secretary.
Mrs. M. R. Bradford the program committee, with Mrsf Walter Krause as co-chairman; membership and publicity committee is headed by Mrs. W. O. Dabney; Mrs. ClaudeCook, health committee, with Mrs. Carson Lillard as co-chairman; and finance commit tee, Mrs. Louis Moore.
A recommendation 'was made to the school board that the driveway of the school be changed so that buses will be able to load and unload on the school ground instead of on the highway. It is believed that present arrangements constitue a hazard.
It was voted that the surplus foods now in Flint Hill School be donated to Rappahannock County School lunch program. The Flint Hill lunch program was discontinued in July, by vote of a special meeting of P-T A.
Some tentative plans for the year were made. Two entertainments will be held. One at Hallowe’en for the street light fund and one in the spring for P.T.A. The street light fund is at present depleted. It was decided that rather than raise the dues from $3 per year to $4, that an entertainment would be held and the money put in a street light fund for street lights. In this way the $3.00 per year payments may be continued.
The program committee gave a tentative program for the year for films to be shown at regular meetings.
