Another Washington, D.C. family has purchased a retirement home in Rappahannock County and plan to begin modernization of their new home shortly.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Boyd have bought from S. E. Hening, the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Fincham, adjoining the farm of L. R. Hudson, near Slate Mills, aj the intersection of state highways 7U7 and 607. Mr. Boyd, a former banker of Philadelphia is an official of the Treasury Department in Washington, D. C They have two grown sons, one studying for the Presbyterian Ministry. The Boyds will be a cultural addition to the county. Their contemplated improvements include central heat, bath, fireplace and the addition of two rooms. The view from the house is exceptionally attractive with the Old Rag and a general sweep of the mountains in all directons.
