A news item frotn India reveals that India has levied a birth tax of one rupee if it’s a boy, and onehalf rupee if it’s a girl.
It costs the American a lot to live and the inheritance tax makes it cost him a lot to die, but for some reason he Tax Boys still let us get born tax free. Although, I heard a fellow say the other day that the reason a baby cries when he’s born is quite understandable: he’s hungry, he’s naked, the doctor just slapped him, and besides, he owes the government $1200 in taxes.
