Last Call For Help
One final call is being made for funds to finance the Old Hollow swimmng project.
Contributions have been most generous but more money is needed and it is hoped that persons who have not yet made donations will’do so before bills start rolling in for work already done. Any amount of cash from a dime to a dollar is most gratefully accepted and the spirit of the giving warms the heart much more than the size of the check. Mrs. Kilby received many heart-warming letters from people who are. interested in this project and she has chosen one letter of particular historical interest and poetic language to reproduce here. My Dear Mrs. Kilby . Being very much interested in improvements now under consideration of the Old Hollow Baptismal and Swimming Pool, I am happy to enclose a small contribution toward that end.
My interest goes back to my earliest recollection—(I am eightyfour) of gojrig to “preaching” in the O. S. Baptist Church built by the grandfather of the late Wiflam Jennings Bryan called The Old Hollow Meeting House.
