Otis Jordan winning first place in the mile and sixthlenth.—Otis Jordan aad Whorley Thomas also rode in the Steeplechase with Otis winning second and Whorley thrd. A Union meeting was held Sunday at the First Zion Baptist Church, Stone Bridge, Clarke County, at the church of Elder R. L. Fletcher.
Visiting ministers were: Elder James Baily of Herndon; Elder Goodafl of Washington, D.C.; Elder and Mrs." S. W. Timbers; Elder A. T. Flurry. Licentiate ministers were: Bros. Mose King of Linden and Arron Fletcher.

Mr,?. Hattie Jackson of Sperryville gave Pvt. Rchard Hunter, her grandson, a supper Friday night. The guests were Mrs. Thomas Hunter of Culpeper, Ann and Margaret Hunter, Thomas Hunter Jr., and Marion Hunter, Mrs. Mary Lee Slaughter of Culpeper, Claude Adson of Culpeper, Billy Jackson of Woodville.
Pvt. Richard Huater will leave for Europe, Tuesday.
