Miss Clarice Lolita Dennis, daughter of Rev. and Mrs. W. B. Dennis of CasUeton, became the bride of Vernon Douglas Henderson, son of Mrs. Lily P. Henderson and the late C. E. Henderson of Prince George, on Sunday, September 7, at 2 o’clock at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church with Rev. S. Felton Carter officiating.
The church was ctecorated with flowers of the season against a background of palmsi The alter was lighted with cathedral candles with Miss Lynn Updike at the piano and Mrs. Robert E. Anderson, sister of the bride, sang “Because” and “The Lord’s Prayer.” .
The bride, entering on the/arm of her father, wore a floor length gown of white lace over satin anti carried white gardenias on a satin covered prayer book. Her veil of illusion fell from a bandeau of pearls.
Mrs. Guthrie Beddingfield of Alexandria was her sister’s matron of honor. She wore a floor length gown of orchid taffeta and net and carried yellow chrysanthemums and wore a matching bandeau in her hair. 1 he bride’s maid, Miss Hilda Brown, of Boston, wore nile green taffeta and net and carried matching bouquet of chrysanthemums and wore bandeau of same flowers.
