The 42 pupils who attended the Atlantic Rural Exposition at Richmond on Wednesday, September 23, reported “as having the best time of their lives.” Under the direction of Clyde Atkins, the bus driver, and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Grosdose, the trip really proved to be a success. The F.F.A. boys enjoyed the livestock shows and the judging of cattle which were held in the Agricultural Building and also the different kinds, of farm machinery and shop equipment displayed for their benefit. The F.H.A. girls enjoyed going through a part of the Commerce Industry Building which contained various exhibits of Home Demonstration and Home Economics Clubs. Some other interesting parts of the exhibit were a completely furnished tworoom house trailer, and a modern fully-equipped kitchen. Such things as ducks, gold fish, and teddy bears were among the treasured prizes brought back by the pupils.
