The farmers received assistance from Soil Conservation Service lechnicians in the location and design as well as construction of the ditches. T he work was done by a local contractor with a dragline .and bull ■ dozer. The dragline is capable of cutting ditches through the wettest of land and is normally used in such places. The bulldozer can remove dirt from ditches only where soil conditions are favorable. It is evident that
