Sears-Roebuck Foundation of Atlanta will sponsor, through its stores serving this area, its annual banquet for the 4-H members enrollin the Pig-Chick*-Heifer project on Friday, October 3 at 7:30 p.m. in the social room of the Warrenton Methodist Church. Counties to be represented are: Frederick, Warren, Rappahannock and Fauquier.
As is the custom, 4-H members enrolled currently in the project and their parents and. members of the past year are invited to the banquet Thus in this group about twenty are expected to attend from Rappahannock. They are: Mr. and Mrs. Cary Thornhill and son, Winfrey; Mr. and Mrs. C. W. “Hitt and son, Glenn; Mr. and Mrs. Lee Sisk and son, Jr.; Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Menefee and son, Killy; Mr. and Mrs. George and son. Freddy; Melvin' Williams, Joe Williams, Herman Williams, Bradley Williams and Randy Williams. Others who have been invited are Mr. and Mrs. Felton Carter, the latter being a leader of the Woodville 4-H Club at the time the project was started; Mr. and Mrs. J. Maurice O’Bannon, representing the Livestock Commttee of Stonewall District; Mr. and Mrs. J. Rodes Brown Sr., Chairman of the County Livestock Committee and Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Campbell, Chairman of the County Board of Supervisors.
