Peter Estes, a student at VPI, spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Estes. H. B. Winfrey accompanied by Mrs. P. Lee Thornton were in Charttesville Saturday to return with [rs. Winfrey, who has been a patient it the University of Virginia HospiI. is reported to be convalesing itisfactorily at “Sunstroke Manor.” Mrs. Della Howard entertained at inner on Friday evening when her guests were Miss Ruth C. Menefee, Mrs- Virginia M. Lewis and George Efferen. Mrs. Lewis returned on Friday to her home here after a visit with Mrs. Henry Lillard and daughter in Downingtown, Pa. Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Johnson were Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Payne and their son, Joe of Madison, Mr. and Mrs. Fred W- Schaefer and family. Miss Lucile ^Byrd Brown of Norfolk is spending a week with her aunt, Mrs. Z. H. Sealock at the Lee Highway Hotel. On Sunday Mrs. Sealock entertained at dinner having as her guests Miss Annie Stephenson, Harry Stephenson, Mr. Winedolf of Houston, Texas, a student at the Episcopal Seminary in Alexandria!, who conducted the 11 o’clock services at Emmanuel Church. Mrs. Holmes Hall spent Tuesday and Wednesday in Richmond with hec son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Reynolds.
