3-County Judge To Be
Named By January 1
With the resignation of Judge J. R. H. Alexander for January 1, a new judge will be named for the three counties of Loudoun, Fauquier, and Rappahannock. Commonwealth Attorney Rayner V. Snead has been named by the bar of Rappahannock as this county's choice for a position which has always gone to the larger neighbors, Loudoun and Fauquier. The present resigning judge is of Loudoun county, and his two predecessors, Judge Fletcher and Judge Turner, were from Fauquier county. There is strong sentiment in Rappahannock that some form of rotation system should allow Rappahannock to have the next judge.
Candidates from Loudoun and Fauquier are Attorney Phillips and Attorney Bain, the latter of Warrenton.
