STANLEY PARTY
Mrs. C. G. Reid was Hostess for a Stanley Party Wednesday evening at her home, “Rose Cottage,” for the Lou Keyser Circle of the Woman’s Missionary Cociety of the Washington Baptist Church. Mrs. W. H. Lyne the Stanley representative, gave a most interesting demonstration to the fifteen members and guests who were ^present. — '-^-V ^
Several games were- played and prizes were awarded. Mrs. Russell Racer won the “cow game” prize, Mrs. Reid won the “number” prize, and little Mary Miller Wood drew the door prize for her grandmother, the hostess, Mrs. Reid After the demonstration refreshments were served by Miss Mary Miller Wood, president of the society, assisted by other members. The society realized around twelve dollars from the sale of the products and a prize of two ' mops. The mops were presented to the Washington Baptist Church, by the society.
VISITS GRANDSON
Mrs. Susie Pullen, who has been in Front Royal for the past two weeks, returned home Saturday. Mrs. John Updike has been helping in the lunch room at Rappahannock High School during her absence. Mrs. Pullen has been staying with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. John Long and her new grandson, William Gilbert Long.
Mrs. Gilbert Weakley, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gallihugh and son, Donnie were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Judd of Luray.
