Marking a year of growth and progress the directors and members of Rappahannock Home Mutual Fire. Insurance Company held its annual meeting Saturday morning, January lft at the Courthouse, Washington.

With over $3-million in insured I property, the treasurer C J. Miller, | Jr., pointed out that the balance on ! hand was in excess of $46,000. Mr. Miller pointed with justifiable pride to the progress of the local company from 1938 to the present year. He stated that there was always comment from other companies about the rates being low, and he knew that the company, so far, had been lucky in having no expensive fires. He said that the aim of the company was to have $60,000 surplus in order to be ready for a fire.
