Miss Mary Bruce had the misfortune to fall and break her nose. Mrs. Richie Colvin is substituting in her place at Forest Grove School. Hugh Riley is much improved after an illness. Miss Gloria Ann Moss spent the week end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Moss.

Mr. and Mrs. Ivor Jacobs and children spent Friday afternoon with Miss Virginia Tapp.

Mrs. W. A. Laing Jr. had as her guests Friday, her mother and sister of Warenton.

WilHe Laing and Miss Katie Laing spent the week end with their grandmother of Warrenton.

Nelson Corbin and son spent Sunday afternoon with Mr. Corbin’s brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Bryant Corbin.

Mr and Mrs. Doug Green and children of Warrenton spent the week end with Mrs. Green’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Riley.

ner, Jack Rutherford and Billy 'Menefee. Judy Black gave a demonstration on Making of Get-Well Cards. In project work a demonstration on washing sweaters was given by Anna Pullen and Shirley Smoot. Discussions were participated in on topic of Good Posture and A Pleasing Voice.

Sperryville III had as their guest speaker, Ned Jones, All Star,. Mr. Jones talked on How to Become an All Star. National 4-H committee appointed was: Evelyn Miller, Dolly Smith, J. W. Brown and Kenneth Clater. The girls exhibited their towels during project work and begun the making of wrist pin cushions.

Washington 4-H club met Thursday. Committee (or National Club was: Lelia Gentry, Betty Johnson, John Turner and Donald Gore to* meet January 15. Finance committee decided to serve 4-H supper as money making scheme during 4-H club week and banner committee planned score card for selecting 1953 banner club to be awarded the banner. These committees were composed of Lelia Gentry, Betty Rutherford, Peachy Lyne, Jacob Sisk and Newbill Miller. Project work, included demonstration on use of a pattern layout and altering of patterns.

Forest Grove 4-H met Friday. National 4-H club committee appointed was: Dorothy Wood, Elizabeth Printz, Franklin Woodard and Ann Utz. Project work for girls was the making of head scarfs. Girls displayed tea towels they had made.

Amissville 4-H met Friday for their regular meeting. Club decided to have a bake sale for raising money. National 4-H committee appointed was: Betty Scott, Juanita Faircloth, and Patsy Elizabeth Latham.

Mrs. Grace Reid was hostess to Washington H. D. Wednesday evening. Mrs. Lois Snead talked to he members on County Government and then tested the group with a short quiz.
